UGONG SPECIAL RESCUE UNIT serves the constituents of Barangay Ugong and the riding public on its Area Of Responsibility responding to all types of emergencies. Below are the the departments that serves the whole of Ugong Area
FIRE DEPARTMENT
Our dedicated Firefighters are well trained by Bureau of Fire Protection with continous training held every year to equip our men in high standard performance.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONSE TEAM
The men and women of USRU has high standard training form Life Suppport Training International- a leading EMT training school in the Philippines, with current registration to Philippine Society of Emergency Medical Technician.
RESCUE DIVING & SWIFTWATER RESCUE
Our Rescue Diving team headed by Kag. Santos himself is one of the sought after team that is being tapped by our city dispatched for SAR operations. And just recently, USRU Swiftwater Rescue technicians just concluded their technical skills and training seminar in Malaysia,Broadening their horizons in technical rescue in rural and urban flood rescue- a vital skills needed in our barangay during storm surges and flash flooding.
EXTRICATION TEAM
The Extrication Team are also trained firefighters who uses state of the art equipment in extrication process as recognize by a leading rescue tool brand for its dedication and efforts in bringing technology in rescue situations specially in vehicular accidents on its Area of Responsibility.
RESCUE ROPE TECHNICIAN
USRU is continuosly developing our men and women in ropemanship and high angle rescue including proper maintenance and handling of rope and high angle equipments in use during rescue efforts and other situations.
BASIC AND ADVANCE COMPETENCY TRAINING SERVICES
USRU is also a partner of other barangay and other establishments in bringing our years of expertise to other barangay units and imparting our knowledge to other people, also spreading awareness in saving lives and keeping the whole City a SAFER and Better Place.
